Learn to learn

sONG An aged song, well, I think I learnt the song when I was still in the secondary school, Government High School, Adeta, Ilorin @ the Fellowship of Christian Students and the song is this... "We are heirs of the Father, We are JOINT-HEIRS with the Son amen, We are the Children of the Kingdom, We are family, we are One" (Romans. 8:17) Some people do not know the wordings of this lovely and wondrous song, just as me too do not know the wordings of some songs and I would have to go to some people who know it to teach me the appropriate words lest I make myself a fool before others. Quitting alcohol can be deadly: Hundreds in the US die each year Jayne O'Donnell   Getty On day three of Lowell Cauffiel's final detox from alcohol, a giant rabbit in a tuxedo and top hat tapped on the window of his second-floor bedroom. Cauffiel, a bestselling true crime author, Hollywood screenwriter and producer purposely didn't go to rehab 34 years ago. Doctors say alcohol is often the most dangerous substance for the body to withdraw from ...

I raised my hand, and she searched my face for the word she needed. “Your…uh…um…” “Husband,” I filled in for her. “Right,” she said, eyebrows raised. “Your husband’s colonoscopy is done and he’s nearly ready to go home.” She walked me to where Jack, still loopy from anesthesia, chatted merrily with the surgery center staff, his naked butt exposed in his backless hospital gown. He made the nurses giggle with slurred jokes about Snapchatting his experience in the endoscopy ward-funny, because Jack's never used Snapchat. “He’s such a hoot!” one of the nurses said. Ten years ago, I couldn't have imagined settling down with a man 20 years my senior, “hoot” or not. There’s the biannual colono...
